A lifelong frustrated artist who was locked onto a keyboard for 8-14 hours a day for my entire working life. After suffering a disability which stopped all possibility of working again in an office, I restarted knitting and working with recycled items in order to create fun, fanciful items.
Serendipitiously, I found spinning. A chance encounter which led to the art form which I have come to adore. Creating one-of-a-kind yarns and items has become the focus for my next career. Also, dyeing (both natural and chemically) allows me to create the blends I especially like for certain kinds of yarns.
As I have continued for the past 3 years, I have found new and different ways to use my fibers and now include weaving and felting in my repertoire.
What more can I say? I enjoy walking to the beat of a different drum, creating fun and functional items and just wacky, creative fibers.
On this page, WYSIWYG is the rule. There are a few definite items which are pretty standard (rovings and other fibers) but beyond that, everything is one of a kind. I hate repeating myself and would rather come up with something new than remake.
I hope you enjoy the items I have to show and that you will come back often to see what is new and unusual in my store.
